‘The Voice Australia’ adds Kelly Rowland, ‘Voice UK’ alum Boy George

Voice -

While Boy George is not going to be a part of the British version of “The Voice UK” this coming season, it does seem as though he’s still found himself a rather nice new gig on the other side of the world.

It’s been confirmed now that George (who is also a part of the upcoming season of “The Celebrity Apprentice” here in America) will be coming aboard the Australian version of the show for the coming season. Not only that, but he will be joined by someone else with some other singing-show experience in former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland, who had the following to say in a new statement:

“I’ve been a fan of The Voice for years and I’m super excited to join the family, especially in Australia. It’s going to be an amazing experience and I can’t wait for this season to begin.”

Rowland appeared previously on “The X Factor,” and we always found her to be a strong part of that show. Having her be a part of this upcoming season is certainly rather welcome.

As for who else is going to be appearing on this upcoming season of the show, you’ve got Seal joining Delta Goodrem. This is a nice panel for the show, but it does remain to be seen as to whether or not this is going to be enough to turn around or improve the fate of a show that is not necessarily generating big numbers at the moment anyway in Australia. The entire format needs to undergo some changes, such as potentially eradicating some of the middle rounds and giving people more live shows.
