‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 4: Could Chloe Bennet’s Daisy become the new Director?

Agents -Are we going to be seeing some big changes coming for Daisy Johnson on Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD“? We know that there is one that is already in the books already, given that the character has now rejoined SHIELD in an official capacity after spending a little bit of time rogue and off doing her own thing. She understands now that she could be stronger in a group setting, and the team could accomplish a whole lot more than they ever could individually.

Now that we’ve said that, the next question does need to be raised: Could we actually see her rise further through the ranks now, potentially to the point of becoming the Director? This would be a move that ties well into the comic books, but it’s not something that is confirmed just yet. All executive producer Jed Whedon would say about the situation, for now, to Entertainment Weekly is the following:

“We’ve hinted at it a bit, that Coulson thinks she can play more of a leadership role … We’ll see how it goes, and where the story takes her. She’s been through a lot so that usually turns someone from a rookie into a seasoned veteran, which is what you need to lead. We’ll see if she steps up to the plate.”

One of the most exciting things in general about this idea is that it would be such a change for Daisy, and now that Jeffrey Mace has worked in particular to bring SHIELD more into the forefront, Daisy would have to do something that she previously did not seem interested in doing at all: Taking a public stance, and having to deal more with the politics of the job — or so we think. Maybe she would get into the position and then hand off most of the power for someone else to deal with it.
