‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Jasmine Brown be next flight attendant winner?

Jasmine -For those of you who watched this past season of “The Bachelor,” one of the things that you may remember about the winner Lauren Bushnell (beyond her getting her own spin-off) is that she is a flight attendant. She led with that in her opening on the show and it was an easy way to remember here in the early going.

Can we make it two straight seasons with a flight-attendant winner? Jasmine Brown is going to do her best to try. She’s someone who seems on paper to be just about everything that you would want from a contestant, given that she has a lot of enthusiasm, loves to travel, and has a great spirit of adventure. She should stand out for Nick Viall right away. Now that we’ve said that, we’re still not entirely sure that she is someone who will be standing there at the end of the season for the final rose ceremony.

Age – 25.

Occupation – Flight attendant. Yep, already covered that. She has shared some videos on YouTube of some of her travels, so these are worth checking out if you haven’t seen them already. She seems to embrace the part of her job that allows her to see a wide array of interesting places.

Location – Tacoma, Washington. It’s located just south of Seattle; we’ve had a few notable alumni from the franchise reside in that area over the years, but we’re not sure specifically about Tacoma itself.

Things to know – Jasmine is interestingly one of two women named Jasmine this season, which we mostly find interesting just because it’s not that common a name for the franchise. She says her favorite author is Steve Harvey, who we certainly hope isn’t hoping any competitive group dates since we know how he gets when it comes to announcing the winner of things. She also says that she could be an owl if she had to pick which animal she’s like, and she is really confident that she’s a great catch. She says at one point “I know I’m attractive and have a lot of great qualities,” and she also acknowledges an ex-fiance who doesn’t “deserve her greatness.” Okay then. There’s a line between confidence and cockiness, and she is very close to crossing it. If she does, we’re not as optimistic about her odds of sticking around this season for too long.

How is she actually going to do? – We don’t think we’re getting a second straight flight-attendant winner. If Jasmine carries with her this level of confidence into the house, it’s going to be abrasive to some of the other women and there could be conflict. She seems like she could be fun and Nick probably will admire her adventurous spirit, but someone like her probably will get a little stir-crazy being in the house for this long with conflicting personalities.
