‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Wedding videographer Christen Whitney wants her own wedding!
There are some bios for “The Bachelor” that are very boring to read, and as a result of that, do not give you a heck of a lot to really work with. Then, there are also some other bios that genuinely get you excited to see the person on the show before you realize that they have an extremely low chance of making it far enough that you will actually remember who they are. Christen Whitney is one of these said people on Nick Viall’s upcoming season. We’re excited to see her on the show based solely on some of the answers that she gave in the ABC questionnaire. She seems like a character, and someone who knows who she is and what she wants.
If nothing else, maybe we can hope for a “Bachelor in Paradise” appearance from her.
Age – 25.
Occupation – Wedding videographer. We can imagine the pre-show package right now of her shooting video for someone else’s wedding talking about how doing this makes her sad in a way, since she’s constantly getting to celebrate everyone’s wedding but her own. From here, she proceeds to play a song on a very tiny violin. We kid! This actually has to be hard, but at the same time it may inspire to find the right person.
Location – Tulsa, Oklahoma. There haven’t really been as many southerners in our spotlights so far this season as usual, and that helps Christen stand out a little bit. Being from Oklahoma, we also suspect (and we could be wrong) that she’s one of the people who actually applied for the show. This always makes us happy since there really should be a nice mix of people who are on the show.
Things to know – We just want to present a few of her bio answers with some commentary.
What she would do if she could break any law without consequence – “I would break into the White House and spend months sleeping in a storage closet and observing what actually goes on behind closed doors.” Completely random, but hilarious. Could be especially shocking in upcoming White House.
If she could be any animal, which one she would choose – “Wild Mustang. They are wild, free and uninhibited. They run with the wind.” Is she secretly Jade Roper?!
Her guilty pleasure television show – “I used to watch DWTS and then pause the TV and practice all of the dance moves like they were goin’ out of style.” Can she go on “Dancing with the Stars” after this season?
We don’t get a great sense of how much of a romantic she is based on the bio alone, but she has personality and a sense of humor. We think Nick will appreciate that and it’ll be endearing.
How is she actually going to do? – Unfortunately for Christen, we see her ending up being in the friend zone with Nick Viall more than his one true love. We’re not sure this personality is necessarily his type, but we have to think she stands out enough in a field of thirty women that he will want to keep her around for a while. Plus, like we said, Paradise contender. Gotta get her some screen time.
