‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Meet Brittany Farrar — the Nick Viall edition

Brittany -Someone within the world of “Bachelor” casting is pretty darn cruel. Remember Brittany Farrar? She’s a personal trainer who became a bit of a behind-the-scenes player on JoJo Fletcher’s season over the summer thanks to her past with Jordan Rodgers, and some claims that he was not exactly faithful to her during her relationship. There’s not too much that we can add to the conversation here, so let’s just mosey right along…

Well, someone decided that it would be funny to cast a different Brittany Farrar on this season, which is one of those things that is really funny to us, but probably not all that funny to really anyone else given that probably only one or two people during the season have any idea of what we’re talking about. She does seem very enthusiastic and happy to be there (hence the smile), but can she actually become the more famous Brittany Farrar in Bachelor Nation? Let’s try to figure that out…

Age – 26. Standard age for contestant this season.

Occupation – Traveling nurse. As Jimmy Kimmel points out in the video below (which Brittany herself shared on her Instagram), there are a lot of different nurses this season! The funniest thing to us is that we’ve never heard of a traveling nurse until we saw Bridgette on “Big Brother” over the summer.

Location – Santa Monica, California. Hey, Nick Viall lives in the area now, so she wouldn’t have to worry about flying halfway across the country to see him! That has to be good for something, right?

Things to know – As with most of the other women this season, there’s really not all that much that Brittany gives away in her bio, but we do like the fact that she’s got a goal for herself to be married, have a family, and to have a more prominent job in a hospital. She’s not someone looking to solely get on this show and get a ton of Instagram followers and try to leverage that into creating some sort of fashion line or whatever. She’s outdoorsy, adventurous, and given that she hates it when people are ruder to servers, there’s a certain element of decency that she respects — and not everyone on these shows does.

We do at times look for reasons to poke fun at some of these people in the bios (hey, let’s face it — we gotta entertain ourselves somewhat), but Brittany comes across really well. She seems grounded, has a head on her shoulders, and knows what she wants out of this. Granted, this could all be some ruse and she comes out the first night dressed in a lobster costume making lewd lobster jokes. We don’t know. Even one of her biggest fears in snakes seems to be fairly rational and normal.

How is she actually going to do? – Brittany has everything on paper to go really far this season and even be the person who Nick Viall proposes to in the end — there are no red flags, she’s got a geographic connection, and in between nursing and a love of cooking, there seems to be a real level of care that is here that isn’t always there with some of the other women on this season. With all of this in mind, odds are that she’ll probably be eliminated almost right away just to jink us.
