Have you enjoyed the journey of “Timeless” over the course of the season so far? If so, we certainly consider ourselves to be right there with you, given that this show has provided quite a bit of everything that we hoped that it would going into the season: there’s been a good bit of humor, a real spirit of adventure, and some amazing costumes almost every step of the way.
Unfortunately, the time-traveling is going to be over through at least the end of the month, as there is no new installment airing tonight on NBC. One of the biggest reasons for that is simply that the network wants to use tonight in order to launch the new Chris Hardwick game show “The Wall” following their “America’s Got Talent” holiday special. Also, they know that they’ve got plenty of time to still air the remainder of this season.
When “Timeless” does return to the network in January, it’s going to air the remainder of its entire first season seemingly in a row. There are still six more episodes to come, and they will pick up with what we saw at the end of the crazy fall finale: Garcia Flynn capturing Lucy Preston, which leaves open all sorts of question marks regarding how the show plans on moving forward and where Flynn could be taking her. We know that he doesn’t see his actions as evil so much as he does necessary. Therefore, you do have to wonder whether or not that is going to change when we end up seeing the character now holding someone effectively prisoner.
We know that one episode moving forward is going to end up featuring the World’s Fair in Chicago, in addition to people like Harry Houdini and H.H. Holmes. It’s not confirmed just when these particular characters are going to be on the air, but as we get closer and closer to the show coming back on the air, this is something to keep in mind.
