Christmas is only a few days away! It’s Monday and if you haven’t bought your gifts, might I suggest you hurry? Of course the traditional way of buying gifts should be considered, but there is a great way to make a few purchases using the TV. Yes, I’m talking about turning to the shopping channels and checking out what is currently available. The idea of TV channels like the Home Shopping Network and QVC had their naysayers years ago. In today’s world, it’s common practice to buy a gift because you see it on TV. If you order on Monday, it might make it in time for the holidays.
‘Scorpion’ Winter finale: Electronics-free getaway turns crazy
The previews of the “Scorpion” winter finale make viewers wonder how we would ever deal without technology. Unplugging from the electronic world, the characters agree to spend Christmas Eve without all the cell phones, computers and other electronic gadgets during a mountain getaway. Chaos follows and the team ends up using some creative ideas to get the bad guys.
Talk show hosts go on vacation; let the reruns begin
Talk show hosts have left the building. Maybe even left town. This week the shows seen during daytime TV as well as late night are mostly reruns. This allows the hard working staff to take off the week and enjoy the holiday season with friends and family. And for the viewers, it’s a chance to see some of the best episodes just one more time.
‘The Wall’ debuts: A game show with a look from the other side
The new game show “The Wall” debuts tonight on NBC. For fans of LeBron James, this is an exciting time as he’s been involved with the show as executive producer. Hosted by Chris Hardwick, the so called “wall” is in the middle of the arena and part of the game. While fans will need to see the show to decide if it is really worth the watch, the political jokes have already started (enter eyeroll here) and it’s rather annoying.

Christmas in Dance? ‘Ellen’ makes classic Christmas characters move
Seen all the Christmas classics a million times in every possible mashup known to man? Well, “The Ellen Show” has come out with a new video mashup with some of the most popular characters dancing during their holiday movie scenes. If you are looking to enjoy a holiday tradition, check out the PBS special “Christmas With the Mormon Tabernacle Choir” tonight. The performances of this amazing choir is breathtaking and delightful every year, but this year soloists from the Metropolitan Opera are also part of the program.
