Royal Variety Performance 2016 video: Lady Gaga performs ‘Million Reasons’

ITV -

Tonight in the UK, ITV broadcasted their annual Royal Variety Performance, one of the most important nights of entertainment of the year. It has connections to “Britain’s Got Talent” from earlier in the year in that the winner gets a chance to perform at the event. (We saw judge David Walliams on the screen for a minute, wearing far less than we’d ever want to see.)

The video below is a little more of an American twist on said Royal Variety, given that it is a chance to see Lady Gaga performing her recent hit “Million Reasons” in a stripped-down, powerful performance on the show in front of some rather-prestigious people in the UK. We’ve heard this song on a number of occasions now throughout her promotional tour for it, but one of the more entertaining things that has come out of that is seeing all of the people who end up being stunned when they realize that Gaga is a great singer. How did they not see this before? Were they distracted by the fancy outfits and the presentation?

Well, this song is a perfect showcase of her voice if there ever is one, and it went down extremely well in the room. This performance also came mere weeks after her performed on another prominent British program in “The X Factor” with the same song.

As for where we know Gaga is going to be performing next, one of her destinations is going to be the Super Bowl in the new year, where she is slated to perform at the annual Halftime Show. This will be a chance for her to perform in front of the biggest audience that is out there for American television, so that’s something that you should definitely keep your eyes peeled for.
