Jimmy Fallon, Dwayne Johnson surprise producer with husband’s military homecoming

If you’re looking to find one of the more moving videos of the weekend to watch, you (interestingly) don’t have to look any further than “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” for one of them from the end of this past week’s worthy of shows.

In the video below, you can see Jimmy enlist the help of none other than the great Dwayne Johnson, who’s been all over the place as of late promoting his new movie “Moana,” stopping by to help stage a dramatic reveal for one of the show’s crew members in a producer named Karina: They brought in her husband, a sergeant in the Air Force, in order to create a huge, surprising moment for her as he snuck up behind her while she was speaking to both Jimmy and Johnson.

We’ve certainly seen a number of these sort of surprise reveals on late-night TV and elsewhere, but what to us really makes this one stand out is getting to see Jimmy’s own tearful reaction to it. It’s a sign that he really does care greatly about the people who work on his show, even though it may be easy to be somewhat cynical about it here and there just because he’s one of the biggest stars in the genre.

After the video started to become viral, Johnson tweeted out the message below, where he made clear precisely what some of the circumstances were that made the moment so beautiful for Karina and her husband. They have a chance to spend some time together during the holiday season, and that is something that has to be appreciated.
