‘America’s Got Talent’ holiday special video: Grace VanderWaal performs ‘Frosty the Snowman’

Grace -The holiday special for “America’s Got Talent” is going to be airing on NBC come December 19, and based on the new sneak peek that we’ve got for you below (via Entertainment Weekly), you’re going to be getting a chance to see several different performers get into the holiday spirit.

This performance in particular is of Grace VanderWaal, the reigning champion of the series, coming back and playing a lively, unique version of the classic “Frosty the Snowman” accompanied by some backing singers and a wintry setting. It’s a different aesthetic for this show, given that more the most part we’re used to it being more in line with the lights and colors of summer. Yet, at the same time we do certainly think that it’s plenty of fun.

One of the stranger parts of this special that the show may still need to figure out is precisely what to do with the judges. Don’t get us wrong, as we do love Simon Cowell, Mel B. Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel as people — we just don’t think they will be able to actually judge during the special. Can you actually imagine one of them hitting the X in the middle of a performance here? It’d almost be the same thing as one of them canceling Christmas! We figure there’ll be some other fun ways to include them over the course of the event.

Some of the other performers set for the special include the Olate Dogs, Terry Fator, Jon Dorenbos, and one of the more ridiculous acts in the history of the show in Professor Splash. It’s true variety, and as a self-appointed foremost expert in “AGT” (is that a good title to have?), we’re very much excited to watch all of this play out and see what it’s like.
