‘Empire’ season 3, episode 9 (fall finale) preview: What’s next for Terrence Howard, Taraji P. Henson?
Next week on Fox, the winter finale of “Empire” is going to be here, and with that we’re going to have a chance to see several stories from this season come to a head while a few others start to simmer before coming to a boil down the road. We know that the Lyon children do all have huge and important roles on the series, but still for the sake of this article, we’re actually putting the focus a little bit more on Lucious and Cookie Lyon. They’ve both been at the center of separate stories for much of the season, and based on some preliminary details, there are some rather-exciting things that are going to be coming up next!
“A Furnace for Your Foe” is the title for the next new episode of the series, and we’re certainly thrilled to have some additional insight about it now.
Synopsis – “Cookie attempts to help Angelo appeal to the masses and win the mayoral bid, by hosting a free park concert. Meanwhile, the FBI continues to investigate Lucious and freezes all of Empire’s assets, which has major repercussions.”
Will Cookie’s relationship with Angelo last? To date, this has been a key question surrounding the series, and it is one we’re excited to have some sort of a clear answer to.
Promo – Will Lucious cause Cookie to step away from Angelo? He always thinks he knows what’s best, and the two of them are going to have some rather key conversations coming up. Given that Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard are cornerstones for this series, don’t be surprised that they take center stage in this episode while saving the stories for the children for a little while down the road.
