‘Timeless’ episode 10 (fall finale) preview: ‘The Capture of Benedict Arnold’

Timeless -Over the past several weeks on NBC’s “Timeless,” we’ve had a chance to bounce around to a wide array of different periods of history. Through that, we’ve learned how our main characters react to near-death situations, betrayals, violence, and just about anything and everything in between. There’s even started to be an element of romance coming into the show as of late.

Could we see almost the entire structure of the show flipped on its head during the winter finale “The Capture of Benedict Arnold” next week? It certainly seems possible, given that the team is going to question not only the course of history, but also at the same time their faith in each other.

Synopsis – “A stunning turn during the American Revolution prompts Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter), and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) to question whether they’ve been fighting on the wrong side this whole time. While Agent Christopher (Sakina Jaffrey) prepares for the worst back in present day, the team encounters the Father of the Country (Damian O’Hare), makes a dubious pact, and confronts the possibility they may not be a trio for long.”

This is the second time that we’ve headed back in time to the 18th century, though last time, this was primarily a story about them being trapped there by Flynn. For the sake of this episode, we’ve got a chance to see something that should matter on a far greater level when it comes to the major storylines.

We do certainly hope that this episode delivers in a great way, given that following it airing, we’re unfortunately not going to be seeing another installment on the air until January.

Promo – Could Flynn actually kill Lucy? That is one of the questions that is raised over the course of the promo, with another one being how in the world Benedict Arnold of all people was in Rittenhouse.
