‘The Bachelor’: One of the first Nick Viall updates post-filming

Even though you’re going to be waiting for a little while to see the latest season of “The Bachelor” come on the air, we do think it’s nice to get a few updates here and there on how everyone is doing. In particular, we mean this for the show’s leading man in Nick Viall. Obviously, he went through quite a bit during production, at least of the silly reality-TV variety. (We won’t be so crazy as to compare it to super-serious things that are going on in the real world.)

As ridiculous as the show may be, the stakes are still important — if it works out, Nick could have a wife for the rest of his life! So how is he handling himself after going through the experience? His good friend and former “Bachelor in Paradise” co-star Jared Haibon did his part to offer up an update on the subject to “Entertainment Tonight” in a new interview:

“He seems very happy … He’s definitely upbeat! … The Bachelor takes a toll on you, but…he’s definitely lively and seems happy and energetic…It seems like he had a great experience. He’s brutally honest, sometimes to his own fault. It’s going to be fascinating….Whether you hate him or love him, he’s always going to be himself.”

We do have a feeling that Nick’s season will be polarizing to some, but at the same time this is also likely what “The Bachelor” wanted from the moment that they signed Nick on the dotted line to be their star. They knew what they were getting, and that was someone who was going to offer up a different dimension to the series and provide us with something that we’re not altogether getting in some other places or on other shows.
