Is ‘Madam Secretary’ season 3, episode 9 new tonight? New Tim Daly interviews

Let start off this new “Madam Secretary” article with the particularly bad news so we get that over with: There is no new episode airing on CBS tonight. The network is shaking things up ever so much before bringing new shows on next week, and while that may be a bummer, hopefully we’ve got something at least marginally related to the show in this article to suit your fancy.

If you look below, you can see a pair of new interviews featuring star Tim Daly, who made a couple of really fun TV appearances over the course of the past several days.

“Live! with Kelly” – We almost want to call this “Live! with Kelly and Negan,” given that we’ve got an appearance in here from none other than Jeffrey Dean Morgan. In here, the actor details a little bit of his time mountain-climbing, and how his desire to do this came out of his character being killed off of “Private Practice” and him developing an interest in taking on a very different challenge.

As it turns out, Daly doesn’t get sick from altitude sickness, which almost makes him the show’s version of Barry Allen from “The Flash.”

“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” – Interestingly, both interviews featuring Daly start off with a brief conversation about Thanksgiving, but from this point they start to diverge into some different topics. In particular, here you get an opportunity to hear Daly discuss his charitable work helping to promote arts education — though there’s also some good talk in here about Black Friday, as well.

In the end, we’re sure that these videos aren’t a replacement for a new “Madam Secretary” episode, but isn’t it better to have something fun to watch than nothing at all?
