‘Lucifer’ season 2 spoilers: Be prepared for a flashback story

Lucifer -Who doesn’t love a good flashback? Well, that’s probably not the right question because there are plenty of people who don’t. As a matter of fact, a good many “Arrow” viewers may throw something at the TV from time to time during them.

Yet, a good flashback story can be a great one, and despite what was just said about “Arrow,” it has delivered on some good ones here and there over time. “Lost” obviously remains at the landmark show for the device, but you can look also towards a show like “Orange is the New Black” as one that is killing it now.

So how about “Lucifer“? It’s going to get a chance to dive into some especially-good crossover material at the very end of the season, and based on what showrunner Ildy Modrovich told TVLine, one of the most important parts of the story is going to be learning more via flashbacks about how Lucifer first arrived to Los Angeles:

“That is a plan! We have four episodes at the very end [of Season 2] that are going to be completely standalone, and we plan to make one of them a flashback to Lucifer first arriving.”

Without knowing anything else, this sounds endearing strictly from a fish-out-of-water perspective. It is important that we learn a thing or two more regarding who he was then to better understand who he is now, and also who he wants to be moving forward. That may sound somewhat cheesy, but even when you consider how old the Lucifer character is and precisely everything that he’s been through, we do still very much think that this is someone still learning and evolving, especially in terms of the people who are around him now.
