You can now watch ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Westworld’ and more through Amazon

If you’ve got a love for all things “Game of Thrones,” or want to see what everyone’s talking about when it comes to “Westworld” this season, HBO is introducing another way in which you can watch many of their series.

Starting today, the premium cable network is offering a subscription via Amazon Prime for $14.99 a month. This will get you access to their library of programming, and that includes the aforementioned hits alongside other great shows like “Insecure” or “The Leftovers” (both CarterMatt favorites!). You can also subscribe to Cinemax through the service for $9.99.

The biggest benefit of this for some potential buyers is convenience. Say, for example, that you’re not the most tech-savvy person in the world and you don’t want to have to jump through a million different bells and whistles just to ensure that you get to watch your favorite programs. This is a convenient way to do that via a service that you already use and know well. We do love HBO NOW, but at the same time the interface there is a little tricky to set up, especially if you have to go through the process of subscribing via iTunes, which we’ve never found to be particularly intuitive.

Now that we’ve said that, we do think HBO NOW is the better overall option if you are looking for the best HBO experience without actually subscribing to the network itself. It offers up a chance to watch your favorite shows live, whereas with Amazon you’ll have to wait until after the programs have aired. It also is effectively the same price, and it’s available in enough places that it doesn’t feel like much of a chore to find it these days.
