‘The X Factor’ UK: Emily Middlemas shares surprisingly sweet Honey G note

X factor -

Honey G may not have surprised us much on the stage during her time on “The X Factor,” but she does continue to surprise us somewhat as a person off of it. For someone who boasts about being edgy and “the realest chick in the game,” she has a softer side that has shown itself a number of times over the course of the series. She’s shown to care about some of her fellow contestants, and was very kind to the production and crew after her departure on Sunday.

Now, we’ve got the post below as taken from fellow contestant Emily Middlemas on Twitter. Apparently before her departure from the famous mansion where the contestants say, Honey G hand-wrote a note (who uses handwriting anymore anyway?) wishing the final four contestants all the best as they move forward into the rest of the competition. She confirmed that she will also be performing at the final, but that really shouldn’t surprise anyone.

Do we think that Honey G is almost the show’s version of a Bruno-esque character? Absolutely, but at the same time, we don’t really mind that so much given that she brought a lot of personality to the proceedings and she was never going to win. In our eyes, part of the problem here with Honey was that there were too many people who legitimately felt for whatever reason as though she had a serious shot to win when that was never really the case. Sure, there were more deserving contestants who could’ve been there, but some of them probably wouldn’t have won either, anyway.

While at the moment we’d say that Matt Terry is the odds-on favorite to take home the title, we can see scenarios where all of the remaining performers make the final two. We’d say for now that 5 After Midnight is the only one we don’t see winning, mostly because groups rarely do and no male group ever has.

One interesting tidbit is that the final four contains a member from each mentor’s team, and that is very rare for this show!
