‘Poldark’ season 3 (PBS): Premiere date hopes for Aidan Turner – Eleanor Tomlinson series

PoldarkTonight on “Poldark,” you’re going to be seeing the second season come to a close with an epic finale, one that will give you revelations aplenty when it comes to Ross’ future in Cornwall, coupled with his romantic status with Demelza and a few other surprises here and there. We don’t want to spoil anything now, but we hope that many of you out there who enjoy the series are going to find a rather extensive amount of content in here that you enjoy.

Now, let’s start to look a little bit forward to the future of the series. The BBC renewed “Poldark” quite a long time ago, so there was never any worry about it being canceled before the story could live on. Season 3 actually started filming many months ago, before the second season even first premiered in the UK. Therefore, they’re pretty far along at this point.

What this means is effectively that the ball is really in the BBC’s court in terms of when the show could return. We do believe that it could be theoretically ready in time for some more new episodes to air in the spring, but that may just come down to whether or not that is something that the network really wants to move back to after airing in the fall / competing with “Victoria” over the course of the entire season. There is some ratings ptoential there, but you also want to establish consistency with viewers in terms of when it’s going to air.

As for how this impacts viewers in America, our sentiment is that with “Call the Midwife” starting in the States in March, PBS would likely air “Poldark” season 3 in the summer if it premieres in Britain in the spring. Meanwhile, they’d probably do something similar in starting off a few weeks later in America in the event that it starts on the BBC in the fall. Once there are some further updates on this subject, we’ll have them for you here.
