‘The X Factor’ UK results preview: Will Honey G, Saara Aalto, or Emily Middlemas be eliminated?
Tonight, we think we’re gearing up for the most predictable elimination show on “The X Factor” this season. Maybe we’re completely over-stating this and will get in trouble for it later, but we just cannot envision any scenario in which we end up seeing Honey G stick around at this point. Who do you eliminate over her in the bottom two? Last week, we at least understand that Ryan Lawrie had delivered a number of okay-at-best performances and had been in the bottom before. This time around, you’re surrounding her with people who are far superior.
Yes, she did do the Mannequin Challenge and we do think that she’ll get some attention for that, but you have to remember that she is also someone who didn’t really seem to recall many of the words to her performance in the process. This should get her sent packing before anything else.
What about the remaining four singers? Maybe you make a case for Emily Middlemas being in the bottom since she was probably the weakest of the group, but she’s never been there before and should be safe in the end. There’s almost no way Matt Terry is in danger, and while we could envision 5 After Midnight in the bottom, they don’t deserve to be.
Now, we come to the curious case of Saara Aalto, one of the greatest underdog stories potentially in the history of the show. This is a woman that was at one point booed heavily during the Six-Chair Challenge and needed a wild-card to even make it to Judges’ Houses. Now, she’s looking like a fan favorite and just gave the best performance of the season with “The Winner Takes It All.” It’s possible that she could still be in the bottom two; figuring out whether or not she can build the necessary momentum this late will be rather interesting to see.
We’ll be back later with our full take on this results show, but for now stay tuned and be sure to head over here to get some additional news regarding Saturday’s new episode. (Photo: ITV.)
