‘Bones’ season 12 spoilers: The series finale title is…

Bones -

For those out there who are episode-title geeks to the same extent that we are, we imagine that the following could be music to your ears (or in this case eyes?): Getting to see the title for the first time for the “Bones” series finale.

According to a report from SpoilerTV, this episode is going to be titled “The End in the End,” which when you think about it feels like the perfect way to close out the show. It’s also a title that was briefly used back at the end of season 10; that title was eventually changed to “The Next in the Last.” The show’s been hedging its bet for a while as to when the show would end via its episode titles, but in this particular instance there’s no more flexibility as to when the show will end. Now, we’re mere months away from it happening.

As for how the show ends, there’s not exactly a whole lot of news out there about that, and we’re not sure that we’d want there to be much discussion about it, either! The mystery surrounding the potential finale is a part of what makes all this so exciting, given that we could see a wide array of different guest stars from past years or the culmination of a wide array of different storylines.

More than anything else, though, we expect this finale to be a tribute to all the fans who watched for so many years. They were responsible for allowing this to be one of Fox’s signature shows for over a decade now, and we could probably wax poetic about it for several more paragraphs if we really wanted to here. We’ll save some of that for closer to the finale airing, but it’s certainly coming.
