‘The X Factor’ UK: What does ‘Louis Loves’ as a theme mean?
Over the course of the weekend the “X Factor” jukebox revealed its latest theme, and let’s just say that it is one that surprised even us when it was selected: “Louis Loves.”
Now, we should make it clear that we were at the very least aware that it was possible that this could be selected as a theme, given that it’s been present on the wheel for a rather long time. Yet, we always considered that this was meant to be some sort of a joke to troll the remaining singers, given that Louis Walsh’s persona on the show seems to be a self-deprecating one, and there are many a person within this show who seems to have a rather good time poking fun at the Irish music manager.
Yet, here we are. The selection of this theme does probably mean that, contrary to what the popular belief may be about the Jukebox, it’s clearly not as rigged as many people out there may think. Otherwise, why in the world would we be getting this?
As for what this theme is probably a reference to, the safest guess we can conjure up at present is that this is meant in some way to be a reference to music that Louis likes. That means there’ll probably be some big ballads in here, but also some fun, campy tracks that allow the remaining contestants to let loose and be a little bit silly. There’s actually a part of us that would be just fine in the event that the show wanted to do something akin to having each judge control a week of the show in regards to the theme. It shows their own personalities a little bit more, while having the contestants reflect that in a rather unique way.
