‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: First news on winter finale, Prometheus’ move

While there is no confirmation out there that we’re going to learn the identity of Prometheus on “Arrow” in the near future, we do know that come the winter finale airing on Wednesday, December 7, we’re going to have a chance to see this villain take things up a notch.

In some further details released by The CW, we learn that in this episode, Prometheus is going to target Curtis Holt, which potentially puts him into deadly danger. What Oliver Queen takes away from this is mostly that the villain knows the secret identity of every single person on his team, which is something that can be further used and exploited by him.

Unfortunately, the one thing that Oliver can’t quite figure out just yet is that there’s a traitor in the midst in Artemis, who is feeding information to Prometheus. While we’re personally of the belief that the character when that Oliver was the Green Arrow before Evelyn Sharp started serving as an informant, we do still think that she is responsible for telling him the alter egos of Mr. Terrific and others.

Also in this episode, we’re going to see Felicity and others begin to further piece together the connections between Prometheus and various aspects of Oliver’s past. This to us is one of the main reasons why this is an excellent villain: He or she has very particular motivations for why they are doing what they are, and it’s probably something that could have been corrected had Oliver been a different person for much of his life to date.
