‘The Flash’ season 3 spoilers: Jay Garrick to return for winter finale!
Excited to get a little more of John Wesley Shipp on “The Flash“? Well, for this article we’re looking beyond the upcoming crossover event to December 6, given that this is when the winter finale for the show is going to be airing.
What we know about this episode is rather simple. First and foremost, the title here is “The Present,” which we figure is a very intentional name given that we’re talking both about Christmas (the perfect time for presents), and that we’ve dealt so much with alternate-universes and time-travel over the course of the season. This is a story that seems to be focusing almost exclusively on the now by comparison.
As for how Shipp be back as Jay Garrick, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) will be visiting Earth-3 in hopes of getting some advice in terms of precisely what he should be trying to do with the one-two punch of evil that is Savitar and Doctor Alchemy. The former just revealed himself to be one of the main adversaries at the tail end of this past episode. The presence of these two villains is going to make it very hard for Barry to be able to enjoy the holiday season with Iris; they waited so long to be together, and now that they are, there are some serious distractions getting in the way.
Meanwhile, expect to see in this episode Wally West working alongside H.R. following the recent events of his Alchemy confrontation, and we’re also going to be seeing in here some painful moments for Cisco as he starts to experience his first Christmas without having his brother Dante in his life.
