‘Timeless’ spoilers: H.H. Holmes coming for World’s Fair episode
We’ve certainly met some nefarious folks since the start of “Timeless” on NBC, but there are many more seemingly coming down the pipeline now.
Specifically, we’re going to be meeting one of the earliest serial killers on record in America in Henry Howard Holmes, otherwise known as H.H. Homes. This is someone who hovered around the infamous “Murder Hotel” in Chicago, and we’ll be seeing him on a collision course with the likes of Lucy, Rufus, and Wyatt when the trio arrive to 1893, around the name of the famous World’s Fair. What excites us about this episode historically is that in the age of Industrial America, this is sometimes a key event in our history that is forgotten about and never given the focus it deserves. We actually do think it could be the perfect subject for a TV series in its own right.
Who’s going to be playing the part? According to TVLine, Joel Johnstone (“The Newsroom,” “Getting On”) will be playing the character. We imagine that this is a rather difficult headspace to try and get into, given that you’re not someone who thinks or acts in the way the vast majority of people to. Still, there’s more than likely something interesting and fascinating about taking on this part as a result of that.
This episode is going to feature an appearance from another famous H.H. as well in Harry Houdini, though this part is yet to be cast. Still, seeing him work some magic is a welcome prospect.
New episodes of “Timeless” will continue airing on Monday nights, with the upcoming one focusing on what happens when Lucy and company arrive to the 18th century before the Declaration of Independence and quickly realize that their time machine is broken. Let’s just say that this is quite the pickle!
