‘Hawaii Five-0’ season 7 spoilers: ‘Longmire’s’ Lou Diamond Phillips to guest star
There’s another reason to be excited about what is coming up on “Hawaii Five-0” later this season. After all, we’re going to get a chance to see Lou Diamond Phillips on at least one episode!
In a post on Twitter (see below), the “Longmire” star confirmed that he is currently filming a role for the CBS series in of course the state of Hawaii; however, we don’t have many details about the specifics of the role at this time.
As for the reference to Peter Weller in the post, the former “RoboCop” star is a prolific television director, and he’s taken on that role for multiple episodes of both “Hawaii Five-0” and “Longmire” over the years. He’s also acted on both shows, and most recently appeared and directed on “Longmire” in the 2015 episode “Four Arrows.” (In other words, it’s been a little while.)
“Hawaii Five-0” is pretty notorious for getting a high degree of quality guest stars, and we suppose there are a number of reasons why that begin with the fact that it’s a quality, established show, and one that typically has a wide array of engaging characters. We imagine that getting to head over to film in Hawaii also doesn’t hurt, given that there are plenty of ways to relax and unwind once you are done with work.
In addition to appearing on “Longmire,” some of Phillips’ recent credits also include a run on “Blindspot” to go along with the movie “The 33.”
There is a new episode of “Hawaii Five-0” coming to CBS on Friday night. Wanna know more? Then head over here to check out some of the first details! Our plan is to come back shortly with some further sneak peeks and information. We’re beyond the 150th episode at this point, so we’re venturing into what is in some ways a great and exciting unknown. (Photo: CBS.)
