‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: What Sam Lavery, Honey G, Saara Aalto will sing for Disco Week
There is a new episode on “The X Factor” coming up in a matter of several hours from now, which means that Disco Week is coming right around the corner! This is an extremely risky theme, mostly because we don’t think it allows for many modern, current performances. Instead, we have a sinking suspicion that we’re going to see a lot of hokey stuff over the course of the night.
Below, you can at least go ahead and see what songs the remaining seven contestants are going to be taking on — including a completely ridiculous one for Honey G.
Saara Aalto: No More Tears (Enough is Enough) – One of the better choices of the night. This may be enough in order to help Saara stage a comeback on the show after a rough outing.
Honey G: Stayin’ Alive – Seriously? How is a rapper going to fare doing a disco song, especially one this iconic? We suppose that there’ll be some sort of innovation.
Emily Middlemas: Wishing on a Star – Hopefully, this continues the great trajectory for Emily to deliver great performances on the show.
Sam Lavery: I Will Survive – We could see a slowed-down or a rock version of this song. This could end up being a chance for her to recover after being in the bottom three.
Ryan Lawrie: Play That Funky Music – Ugh. This performance is a whole “do not want.” This isn’t a song that you can really flip all that easily.
Matt Terry: Best of My Love – While this song is certainly dated, we do think Matt could make it fun!
5 After Midnight: Boogie Wonderland – This one’s a risk. While the guys can have a really great time with the song, it’s disco! It’s such an odd, risky style of music.
