‘American Horror Story: Roanoke’ finale video: Lee Harris meets Sarah Paulson’s Lana Winters

The ninth episode of “American Horror Story: Roanoke” has now come and gone, and through it we had yet another series of crazy reveals … with one of the biggest ones being that Lee Harris was somehow the only person who entered “Return to Roanoke: Three Days in Hell” and made it out alive.

Given that almost the entire show to date lies within some sort of show-within a show concept, it’s going to be interesting to see what happens when that all starts to burn away. The finale next week looks like it will, for the first time, offer up something set in what is the show’s supposed reality, where Lee will be appearing for an interview special featuring … Lana Winters! Hey, it’s the character played by Sarah Paulson in “Asylum”! We were told that we would be seeing her before the end of the season, and now it’s finally happening. This is clearly a way for executive producer Ryan Murphy to continue to work with Paulson (and really who could blame him since she’s fantastic). We’re also pretty sure that she probably enjoyed getting to play three different characters, giving her a great challenge as an actor.

We imagine that this interview will be a grueling one for Lee, who’s going to be acting like she’s got everything together. However, we know that she murdered her husband, and also was involved in the horrific killings under the Blood Moon. Was she aware of what she was doing at the time? If Winters knew she was a murderer, we imagine this interview would be taking place from prison.

Above all else, fingers crossed that we end up seeing an excellent conclusion to this season, and a story that starts to offer up for us a few more interesting twists… and maybe even a hint at what Ryan Murphy is planning for next season!
