‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 13: Who played Owen’s sister in episode 8?
If you’ve got questions following Thursday night’s new episode of “Grey’s Anatomy,” we’re here to provide answers … or at least one of them: The identity of who played Owen’s sister on Thursday night’s new episode “The Room Where It Happens.” If you’re like us, you probably recognized her and spent a minute or two running names through her head.
The role was played by none other than “White Collar” / “The Last Ship” actress Bridget Regan, who had a very different hue to her hair here than she did on her most-recent job over on the TNT show. Maybe this in part helped to throw people off, as she looked closer in appearance to her “White Collar” work. (The image above comes via Entertainment Weekly.)
There are still a heck of a lot of mysteries out there when it comes to this character right now, but the one thing that we do know is that, at least in the eyes of Owen, he thinks that she is dead. Their conversation tonight via dream sequence was particularly haunting because of that, and his struggle to move on from what happened. If you’re a fan of “Grey’s Anatomy,” though, you often know that nothing is hardly ever as it seems. Given how many times we’ve seen major characters die with little notice, it’s certainly reasonable to think we could have a character, once presumed dead, actually still be alive out there. It’d be a fun story to explore.
Of course, one of the biggest issues with telling said story is that Regan is rather busy given that “The Last Ship” is filming its fourth season set to air on TNT in the summer. Fun bit of trivia: On that show, her character has a possible romance with Tom Chandler, the lead character played by former “Grey’s Anatomy” star Eric Dane.
