‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 3, episode 9 (winter finale) preview: Who’s dead?
For the upcoming winter finale, “How to Get Away with Murder” is clearly not wasting any time beating around the bush. Otherwise, odds are you are not airing an episode entitled “Who’s Dead.” This is the installment that will finally give you the answer as to who is under that sheet, and how this ends up changing the fabric of the remainder of the show.
Personally, we’ve had our own fair share of theories over time, but not all of them have been right given that we’ve already seen a few people declared alive who we’d thought beforehand were gone. The field is far more narrow, but there’s still at least a small degree of mystery.
The craziest thing about this episode to us is that despite everything that ABC’s done in order to promote it, this is not the season finale of the show. There are still six more to come in the new year that will provide you with the aftermath to all of this, while also probably setting the stage for another surprise — not the fun kind of surprise, but the kind that makes you run to the nearest corner and cry.
Given that there is such a mystery at the center of the hour, don’t be all that shocked by how little ABC’s giving you in their official synopsis. There’s no real reason for them to offer up more than this:
“Annalise receives a tip about A.D.A. Atwood that leads to a heated confrontation with Nate. Meanwhile, the deadly events leading up to Annalise’s house fire reveal who’s under the sheet.”
We’re not going to say that the promo below offers up a whole lot of additional insight, beyond further adding to the fire that Frank is the one to die — unless of course this is all intentional to throw us off. We’re fine if it’s Frank (his story has already been so crazy and intense); we’d just be bummed if all of this hype was for the removal of a minor character. At this point, you either go big or go home.
