‘Vikings’ season 4 spoilers: Meet the latest new addition
While we await the return of “Vikings” to History at the end of the month (specifically, on November 30), consider the following to be a way to help tide you over: The latest casting news! There may not be too much to report right now when it comes to specifics, but we’re ultimately going to take just about everything that we can get here.
According to a new report coming in now from Deadline, Ida Marie Nielsen (“Anna Pihl”) has been cast to play the role of Margrethe over the course of the coming episodes. Unfortunately, the details about her in terms of specifics are a little bit unclear beyond that she is described as being a young Viking servant, one who will eventually become a love interest to one of the other main characters on the show.
The biggest takeaway about the future of “Vikings” based on where we are right now is mostly that you have to remember there’s a significant jump forward in time that will be a focus of the final ten episodes this season. We’re not going to have Ragnar’s child as that anymore; they are now adults, which opens the door for any of them to potentially be intertwined with this new character. With some much of history rather loose around this period, the show has a number of different situations where it has leeway. Ultimately, it should prove rather interesting to see what directions that it ultimately decides to take.
Given that the show already has a fifth season on History, at least you know there are some opportunities to tell more stories in the future.
