‘Lucifer’ season 2, episode 8 preview: ‘Trip to Stabby Town’
Tonight, “Lucifer” gave us an episode that contained some Chloe backstory, which we’re more than happy about. Also, at the same time there was at least a solid moment or two in there that’ll probably make the hearts of many ‘shippers go aflutter, and for a pretty darn good reason. How could you not love the ending for the two of them?
Anyway, we don’t want to dwell on that forever, given that we do very much understand that there are some more stories to tell this season, and a lot of that will involve getting to know some other relationships further. Moving into next week’s episode entitled “Trip to Stabby Town,” we’ll have a chance to see some of these stories take center stage in a pretty big way.
Synopsis – “After discovering that Azrael’s blade has been stolen by a human, Lucifer quickly connects it with a string of violent stabbings revolving around a local yoga studio. While Chloe investigates the murders, Lucifer enlists Ella’s help in locating the sword to stop the carnage.”
Sound interesting enough? It does to us, and one of the funny parts of this to us on a meta level is that this is the second time over the course of the past year that we’ve seen Azrael involved in a Fox series on Monday night. If you look back at “Gotham” this past season, they had a similar story play out where we had a chance to see Theo Galavan become the character Azrael for a time.
Promo – This presents a very different picture of what is coming back; Mom / Charlotte wants her family back, and in turn, that means going “home.” However, what she’s about to realize is that this is not something her son is intent on. He likes where he is, and in turn, feels like he is already at home. Why drift away from that?
