‘Scorpion’ season 3, episode 7 video: Election Day drama

Monday night’s new episode of “Scorpion” looks like a hoot. After watching the video below, we’re not sure that there is any other proper way to describe it.

Are there episodes that possess a ton of danger on this show? Absolutely, and we find those death-defying action sequences incredibly entertaining. Yet, there are few things more important in this country than our Democratic process, and this episode (entitled “We’re Gonna Need a Bigger Vote”) is going to be all about what happens when this sacred process starts to descend into some sort of chaos and anarchy. Someone is hacking in and presumably destroying votes, and Team Scorpion needs to figure it out before the entire election is destroyed.

Based on this promo, it looks like there’s going to be a ton of humor over the course of the hour, and we also find it clear that the show is advocating for people going out to vote in their own way — after all, why focus on Toby going on to cast his vote in the midst of so much chaos.

It is fairly clear to us that there is an obvious attempt in here to capitalize on the upcoming election for ratings, and it’s hard to blame the show for that at all given that it’s timely, and it’s not like there is going to be another opportunity to effectively do this for a rather-long period of time. Do you really think that we’re going to get an episode coming up in the near future that revolves around the midterms? Doubtful. Might as well have some fun with it now, given that come Tuesday there’ll probably be a lot of people, one way or another, who are not having anywhere near as much fun.
