‘Shameless’ season 7, episode 6 preview: A few key teasers on what to expect

We’re closing in now on the midway point of “Shameless” season 7, which to us is a signal of one thing more so than just about anything else: We’re going to start to see things ratcheted up ever so slightly when it comes to drama.

As you prepare to watch Sunday’s episode, we want to hand down a few assorted teasers regarding what you can expect to see.

1. Is Carl ready for military school? – For one of the first times in his life, he’s going to find something that he will consider committing to — which is a good thing, given that if he is going to do this, there are a pretty strict list of requirements that he will need to follow. It’s understandable that Fiona and the rest of the Gallagher family (at least those not named Frank) are going to have some skepticism regarding whether or not he’s really capable of this.

2. The debate over Fiona – Is she really in the right place, and will CPS come in and try to make a move in regards to her baby? These are questions that Fiona and Lip in particular are going to ponder, but ultimately there are some things Debbie may have to figure out herself.

3. Fiona continues to be a businesswoman – She’ll consider investing in a laundromat over the course of the episode; regardless of whether or not it works, this should offer up a little more insight into where her head is at. Sometimes, the thought of ambition is just as important as the actual ambition itself. For any member of the Gallagher family, you really do have to take whatever you can get.
