‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6 spoilers: Brace for the return of King George
Given the various stories at present that are out there about Prince Charming a.k.a. David on “Once Upon a Time,” the following bit of news shouldn’t be thought of as too great of a surprise at all: We’re going to see a man who posed as a father figure for at least his brother James at times during the earlier days of the show.
Per Entertainment Weekly, you should brace yourself for the return of Alan Dale, who plays King George, for an upcoming episode. Executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis tell the site that the man “returns to cause trouble for Snow and Charming in an episode later this season that shines a new light on all of their pasts and has a profound impact on their futures.” Sound interesting? We’re at least excited to see how all of this is going to end up shaping out.
At the moment, David’s in the thick of an investigation to try to figure out what happened to his actual father, who may not have died via the means that he first thought. This, to us, is the most exciting story he’s had in some time, even if he is in violation of one of the classic “Once Upon a Time” tropes in keeping it a secret from everyone else. We’re utterly clueless as to why so many characters decide to do this when it so routinely never works out for them. Still, they keep at it thinking that this time will be the time it works out.
We like to think that King George will have a role to play in this investigation, but that’s mere speculation on our part. So long as Josh Dallas gets to anchor a story, we’re ultimately happy.
