‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ spoilers: Terra Jole, Ryan Lochte, Jana Kramer celebrate Halloween
Monday night’s “Dancing with the Stars” episode is going to be particularly scary, and for good reason: It’s Halloween time! In order of the holiday, the remaining Stars are going to be getting into the spirit with some dances that could suit the occasion perfectly. Not all of them are necessarily scary, but they are imaginative and should transport you somewhere else … at least if they are doing them right.
Now that we’ve said all of this up, take a look below for our take on all of the selections for the remaining pairs.
Marilu Henner & Derek Hough – Argentine Tango – “Sweet Dreams” by Emily Browning – Hey, we at least know that this is going to be intense!
Laurie Hernandez & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Viennese Waltz – “Pure Imagination” by Jane Monheit – Given the death of Gene Wilder earlier this year, this could end up being surprisingly emotional to watch.
James Hinchcliffe & Sharna Burgess – Viennese Waltz – “You Don’t Own Me” by Grace ft. G-Easy from Suicide Squad – Hey, there are probably going to be about two million people dressed as Harley Quinn this year. It makes sense that a song from “Suicide Squad” would be on the show.
Calvin Johnson Jr. & Lindsay Arnold – Quickstep – “Dr. Bones” by Cherry Poppin’ Daddies – This is about as Halloween a quickstep as you’re really going to get, given that it’s hardly a dance suited for the holiday.
Terra Jolé & Sasha Farber – Cha Cha – “Day – O” by Harry Belafonte – What does this have to do with Halloween at all? If nothing else, we guess we’re at least going to have cool costumes.
Jana Kramer & Gleb Savchenko – Jazz – “Little Shop of Horrors” by Alan Menken – Yay! This song choice excites us, and with jazz there’s a lot Jana and Gleb can do.
Ryan Lochte & Cheryl Burke – Tango – “Howlin’ For You” by The Black Keys – If Ryan can actually get into the character of this dance (which he’s struggled to do at times this season), we do think this could be a great deal of fun.
