‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 8, episode 6 video: Sam, Callen clash over Rams tickets

Sam and Callen -

There are many mysteries that we see on “NCIS: Los Angeles” on a weekly basis, but in the first of two sneak peeks below, we could be arriving at one of the biggest ones: Why isn’t Callen more excited about the prospects of attending a Los Angeles Rams game? Given the character’s love for sports, we’re a little surprised that this hasn’t come up before now, but the writers have clearly set up an interesting story around it.

Basically, Sam’s got tickets to attend the next game, and is shocked to learn that his partner is seemingly more interested in chilling at home than going to watch the game play out in person. Is there another motivation lying underneath the surface here? It’s possible, and it could have to do with a certain team-member-for-the-time-being played by Bar Paly. Time will tell on that.

For now, at least Sam knows that there is someone else interested in going to the game in Eric. We would certainly buy, for the record, Callen’s justification of now wanting to attend the game due to traffic. Moving around LA can be a nightmare, and that’s even when there aren’t any major sporting events going on.

The second sneak peek puts more of a focus on Anna out in the field with Sam, Callen, and others, and it is tied more to the case-of-the-week: A man’s dark past putting potentially a young teenager’s life in danger. Anna does her part to make sure said teenage is okay, and eventually a chase ensues. This is much more of your run-of-the-mill “NCIS: Los Angeles” sneak peek, so there’s a little less to say about it here.
