‘Legends of Tomorrow’ season 2, episode 3 sneak peek: The rise of Citizen Steel

Tonight, “Legends of Tomorrow” gives birth to a new hero, and it’s someone who is still (understandably) trying to figure out precisely what his powers even mean.

We’re talking of course here about Citizen Steel, a character who is born out of the injections given to Nate Heywood on this past episode in order for him to live. The good news is that he’s not a Nazi monster, which is something that the Legends feared he would be; instead, his entire body seems to be capable of turning into metal. We’re not sure if this is a permanent thing, he can swap in or out, or if he can control this. Think of the power right now as being in the fledgling stages.

What we do know is that in this sneak peek below, it proves to be rather useful as Vixen has somehow managed to get aboard the Waverider, and is out for vengeance on all of the Legends over what happened to Rex Tyler. She knocks out many unsuspecting members of the team, and while Mick Rory puts up a fight, it probably would have been a losing battle were it not for Citizen Steel turning up to help keep him out of harm’s way.

While we’re not entirely sure that Heywood is going to be able to completely control his powers anytime soon, we do think that this will probably be enough to convince many of his fellow team members to keep him around for a little while. Previously, one of the big fears there was that he was simply going to be a thorn in everyone’s side, and nobody wanted to deal with having someone not up to snuff around the team.
