‘Muppet Babies’ return, Hugh Laurie gets Star on Walk of Fame, Justin Timberlake joins Jimmy Fallon on ‘Tonight Show’

muppet babiesCall me crazy, but watching the talk shows on Wednesday night I noticed something extremely interesting. All of the hosts seemed to be chattering less about the election and had more discussion on things like upcoming movies, TV shows and even music. Yes, there were some political jabs, but nothing like what was seen building up to the debates. What is this technically called in the TV world? Refreshing!

‘Muppet Babies’ slated to return to TV

It’s true! The “Muppet Babies” series is returning to television. The fans of this show are thrilled to learn it’s going to debut on Disney Junior. Calling it a re-imagined Muppet Babies series, Disney is exciting all the fans. The bad news is that viewers will need to wait until 2018 to see the show.  Not to worry, you can always patiently wait for the new show by listening to the “Muppet Babies” everywhere you go.

Hugh Laurie gets a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

Hugh Laurie portrayed a cranky doctor on “House” but as fans looked on as the modest actor accepted his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. Surrounded by fans from around the world, the celebrity seemed to be thrilled and acting as if he was getting too much attention for his acting chops. As fans know, Laurie is a talented entertainer who is famous around the world and he’s always willing to embrace just about any character he’s been offered.

Justin Timberlake joins Jimmy Fallon on ‘Tonight Show’

When Justin Timberlake is a guest on “the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon” it seems like a match made in heaven. The two pals feed off each other’s comedy and the viewers love every minute of it. On Wednesday night the two stars sang a song and made fun of their counselor at Camp Winnipesaukee. An ongoing sketch, the chance to share the same stage is social media gold. The segment hadn’t even aired on the west coast before it was trending on Twitter. Missed the segment? Check out the video below and pay particular attention to how the stars kept making each other laugh!

And finally…Star Trek TV series revival shake up

The series, “Star Trek: Discovery” hasn’t started filming, but there is already a change underway. The showrunner, Bryan Fuller is stepping down. As Star Trek fans panic on what this means, it’s still unclear how easily this project will move forward. It’s possible that the show will be on schedule for a May release on CBS All Access streaming service. Then again, it could get bumped.
