‘Arrow’ season 5 spoilers: The title for the 100th episode is…
Are you prepared to see some big developments in the upcoming 100th episode of “Arrow“? The show may not be airing this enormous milestone on The CW until we get around until December, but there’s one detail that we can hand down now officially: The title for the installment.
Speaking per ComicBook.com, executive producer Marc Guggenheim confirmed the name, and handed down the following message to boot:
“I’m giving you an exclusive — becuase you’re the only one who’s asked … Arrow episode 508 is called ‘Invasion!’ with the exclamation point. And Legends of Tomorrow 207 is going to be ‘Invasion!’. I’ll leave it up to you to guess what The Flash is called.”
There is a clear reason for the duplicate titles: All of them are a nod to the comic event featuring the arrival of the Dominators, a powerful alien race who is coming in order to sap away some of the superpowers from Earth for their own use. This is a threat that is so enormous that it could take an entire army of heroes in order to take them down, whether it be the “Arrow” crew, Barry Allen, or Supergirl. She’ll be making her first appearance alongside many characters during these episodes. To date, she’s really only spent time with Barry Allen in National City.
For those worried about “Arrow” focusing only on a crossover for its 100th episode, rest assured that this is not the case. You’re going to see an appearance from Deathstroke in some capacity, just as you will also see Susanna Thompson reprise her role as Moira Queen. John Barrowman will also be appearing as Malcolm Merlyn, who has been absent to date from much of the action on “Arrow.”
