‘Once Upon a Time’ season 6, episode 5 sneak peeks: The search for Aladdin
“Street Rats” is the title for this weekend’s new episode of “Once Upon a Time,” and even if you are just a casual fan of all things Disney, odds are that you’ve got a pretty good understanding as to precisely what that means.
The story of Aladdin is one that has been in-demand for viewers of this show for a rather extensive period of time; as a matter of fact, we’re not sure that there is any Disney character out there more anticipated than this one. The first sneak peek that we’ve got for you below, though, makes it clear that this character is missing-in-action in Storybrooke, and Jasmine is doing what she can in order to find him. With that being said, she’s also not altogether quick to hand down information to Emma or anyone else, feeling as though she could be in danger if she chooses to start handing down a wide array of information. Emma uses her “superpower” to determine that she is being truthful when it comes to her innocence in some happenings around the town, but that’s about as far as this interrogation gets.
We do think Aladdin will show up in Storybrooke in due time, but the first sneak peek below probably serves as a nice bit of backstory into what you can expect to see from Aladdin and Jasmine in the past. She visits him on the streets in hopes of hiring him, and we gotta say that this is really a fun, pitch-perfect play on the Disney movie. Aladdin in particular has the savvy that you would want from a live-action version of this character.
This preview also gives you a sense of Oded Fehr’s version of Jafar. This is a role originally played on “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland” by “Lost” alum Naveen Andrews, but was recast for the show after some scheduling conflicts came to light.
