NBC’s ‘The Voice’ video: Tim McGraw, Faith Hill talk working with artists

VoiceMonday night’s new episode of “The Voice” marks the beginning of the Knockout Rounds, and it’s also going to mark the first appearance from two people who really should know better than anyone what it takes in order to be superstars for a long period of time: Faith Hill and Tim McGraw.

In some ways, we do understand the frustrations of some people out there over these two being chosen to be key advisers for this part of the competition. After all, it does make a little bit of sense for people to want a variety of genres represented, and this is really turning the Knockout into more of a country music fest than they already were.

Now that we’ve said that, at the same exact time every person affiliated with this show really should be happy that they’re getting to see Tim and Faith on the show, given just how much great stuff they’re bringing to the table. These two are people who have an incredible ability to perform, work an audience, and then at the very end of it be relatable and fun in real life. They’ve been able to keep a normal-person persona in an industry that is anything but, and that’s an almost-impossible thing for anyone to really achieve. They’ll have some good advice, and they can give it without coming across as hurtful.

Also, it definitely makes sense for the show to want to play to their country base here, given that they already are courting Millennials by having Miley Cyrus on the cast, and country fans / older viewers have long been a very valuable demographic for this show.
