‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 10, episode 6 spoilers: Penny’s acting past comes roaring back

Remember the days of Penny the actress on “The Big Bang Theory”? We’re sure that you do, given that it constituted the vast majority of the show to date.

Well, rest assured that this is a past we’re going to see play out a little bit further on next Thursday’s new episode (the first for the show back in its regular timeslot) entitled “The Fetal Kick Catalyst.” This marks a pretty wonderful opportunity for Kaley Cuoco to look back on a certain time in her life and a role that became a part of a pretty good recurring joke on the show. Take a look at the synopsis below for more news:

“Penny is surprised to learn she has fans of her performance in “Serial Ape-ist” when she attends Van Nuys Comic Con with Leonard. Also, Amy hosts a Sheldon-style brunch at Penny’s apartment, and Wolowitz makes an impulsive purchase when he starts stressing out about the baby on the way.”

One thing that excites us about this story beyond just the idea of Penny finding B-movie stardom is getting to see two of the show’s recurring male actors in Brian Posehn and Kevin Sussman in a single episode. We’ve been proponents of a Stuart spin-off down the road, so why not throw Bert in there and make it a party? The two guys probably do have a little more in common than either one of them realize. (Of course, we’re just speculating on this — don’t send us emails acting like it’s for-sure happening!)

The Howard and Bernadette storyline, meanwhile, is a pretty clear indicator that we’re making process towards the two of them becoming parents, which is absolutely something we want to see happen before we get to the end of the season.
