Friday night’s new episode of “Hawaii Five-0” will certainly have its moments of high action and drama, but at the same time, you better be ready for some waterworks! Given that Kono and Adam have spent effectively the past year of their lives apart, there’s something beautiful that will come out of the two of them getting to finally spend some time together.
That’s what makes the first one of the sneak peeks that we’ve got for you below especially touching, given that there is very little dialogue and the vast majority of it is spent watching Kono prepare for seeing him again, only to them take him into her arms after he walks out of jail as a free man. The second sneak peek is what we can call a musical … tribute? Well, it’s certainly fun and lighthearted, but it almost comes to a close when McGarrett gets a call about a crime. He tells Kono that she’s got the day off to spend with him, so we’ll see if they really get a chance to relax. Given this show, we never count on anything lasting all that long.
The final sneak peek is a little more case-based. After a gun cache is stolen, McGarrett, Grover, and the rest of the team is going to fear that this was done by gun-rights activists who are looking to spread a particularly dangerous mission. This is a tough case for the team to tackle, mostly because of the political ramifications of it. If you do one thing wrong, it could set off a chain of events and make things worse.
Ultimately, though, this final sneak peek ends with an argument between McGarrett and Danny that at times is funny, but at other points is political and pretty pointed.
