Looking to get a little more Danny backstory on “Hawaii Five-0” later this season? Then we come bearing some rather-great news.
According to a new report from TVLine, “Rookie Blue” actress Missy Peregrym will be appearing on at least one upcoming episode this season as Bridget, the sister of Scott Caan’s Danny and a woman who still lives in New Jersey with her husband and children. She will be coming to Hawaii for a corporate retreat, which offers Danny up an opportunity to see her more in her element. Given that he’s never seen her in this particular setting before, this could lead to some rather-fun moments and revelations.
In general, this casting is exciting just because of the opportunity it offers in terms of learning more about Danny’s history. We previously met his brother Matt (played by Dane Cook) on several occasions, but he was killed off tragically a little earlier this season. So far, this season’s been a little more McGarrett heavy in part due to his recovery from the transplant; also, he and Alicia Brown went through everything that they did in this past episode in regards to the Chess Piece Killer. These people have been through a lot in general, so any chance to relax with family, even if it is just for a second, should be rather welcome.
New episodes of the series are going to continue between now and when Missy’s episode airs, and this coming installment should be particularly fun given that you have seemingly Danny facing off against a tank.
Also, expect to see Adam finally released from prison, and as a result of that, we’ll learn what the future holds for him and Kono. For a few more details on this particular story, be sure to visit the link here right now. (Photo: CBS.)
