The fourth season of “Chicago PD” is going to be airing a new episode on Wednesday night, but for the sake of this article, we’re going to take a little bit of a further look at what’s down the road.
Specifically, we are talking about the upcoming November 2 episode entitled “Skin in the Game,” which will feature a pair of rather notable guest stars for CarterMatt readers. first, you’ve got Billy Burke of “Zoo” coming on in the role of baseball star Jake McCoy. He’s going to find himself at the center of a case when the body of a 16-year old girl named Maya Collins (played by “The Flash’s” own Jesse Quick in Violett Beane) is found at his home.
Clearly, having this happen is a difficult situation, but it may be made all the more complicated within Intelligence thanks to a relationship that already exists between McCoy and Olinsky. The two are friends, and that could complicate perception of him. What will come out is that Maya was one of many young girls trying to escape the sex trade, and apparently, McCoy was doing his part to try and help. We’re not sure how a former baseball player got wrapped up in this sort of work, but we suppose that those answers will come.
It will be interesting to see both Beane and Burke outside of their familiar roles, and that is one point of interest in this episode. Another could be seeing Lindsay subject to what NBC describes as a “mysterious flower delivery that may be tied to her past.” We will see precisely what that entails, and what it could mean for her future coming up. You ever quite know with this show.
