‘The X Factor’ UK: Could 4 of Diamonds, Tom and Laura replace Brooks Way?

The latest news -While it is now even more official that Brooks Way will not be returning to “The X Factor” following the investigation into a violent incident in Josh Brooks’ past, Louis Walsh was handed a lifeline this morning. Appearing on “This Morning,” “Xtra Factor” co-host Rylan Clark confirmed that another act will be replacing them within the Groups category.

Who could it be? There are obviously a number of different contenders that are out there. If Louis is looking to just fill that spot with another boy band, Yes Lad seems to be the easy choice. However, we personally would go with either girl group 4 of Diamonds or duo Tom and Laura for the final spot. In our eyes, these two should have made it to the live shows over Brooks Way and Bratavio in the first place. With 4 of Diamonds, you have a group with serious pop aspirations; meanwhile, Tom and Laura probably would make it reasonably far since the would appeal to the show’s older viewer base.

The show also released an official statement regarding the future of Brooks Way following the show:

“Following the allegations relating to Josh Brooks, we have decided by mutual consent that Brooks Way should leave the competition.”

Brooks also released some thoughts of his own, saying the following:

“Due to events in my personal life I’ve decided that it’s best not to be on the show at this time. While not everything that has been claimed is true I would like to apologise to everyone involved.”

Who do you want to see come back on the show this coming weekend? Vote in the poll below, or head over here if you do want to read some more of our thoughts on the elimination of Bratavio from this past weekend. We’ll be offering up a postmortem of their time tomorrow. (Photo: ITV.)
