While at New York Comic-Con this weekend, the folks over at Marvel and Netflix were absolutely feeling rather generous. After all, there is no other way to describe the super-wide array of updates that came from some of their shows. Read on for more…
“The Defenders” – We start here with the epic team-up series, which now officially has on board Sigourney Weaver. It’s hard not to be excited about this one, even if there is not too much in the way official news about it other than that she will play a villain. Given that she’s up against Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist,
“The Punisher” – Deborah Ann Woll is going to be coming over to the show in her “Daredevil” character of Karen Paige. This is becoming more of a common occurrence, as many of the different Marvel stars are crossing over to one another’s shows fairly regularly.
“Iron Fist” – Finally, Rosario Dawson is going to be reprising her role as Claire Temple for the Finn Jones series — and we’ve got a new teaser for you below! This is the next series coming down the pipeline, as it is going to premiere across the streaming platform in March. From here, he will jump over to “The Defenders,” which should premiere at some point later this year if we’re lucky.
Even though they may only have three shows out at the moment, the positive reviews and the total viewership have made it incredibly clear: Netflix has an empire on this show that, while not as profitable as the big-budget movies, is incredibly successful and interesting in its own right. It may even be stronger when it comes to their stories.
