‘The Blacklist’ season 4 spoilers: Will Liz, Red work together to make a move on Kirk?
For those of you who enjoy “The Blacklist” the most when Liz Keen and Reddington are collaborating together with a common goal, great news: All signs point to you enjoying specifically “The Thrushes,” the upcoming October 27 installment of the show. The Alexander Kirk storyline will still be going strong, but our two leads may be looking towards an opportunity to take him down once and for all.
Per NBC, here’s what you can expect to see in this episode:
1. Kirk is going to contract a powerful group of hackers, one who lives in mystery and is known for bringing powerful computer systems to their knees. In our head, we’re envisioning the show’s version of fsociety from “Mr. Robot,” but it may not be anywhere near that complex.
2. In learning this news, Megan Boone and James Spader’s characters may view this as an opportunity to catch Kirk and his crew off-guard. As for how they do that, that’s where it may take a little bit of classic Red / Liz ingenuity. These two are, after all, extremely quick on their feet.
Going into Thursday night’s new episode on NBC, the primary question is simply this: Is there a way for Mr. Kaplan, murdered seemingly at the hands of Red, to rise up from the dead? Technically, she may not be fully dead yet thanks to a trifle of movement in the grass, but in her present state we cannot imagine her moving fast. This is the primary tease and point-of-emphasis for us entering this episode: The series is going to have to figure out a way to make a resurrection make sense here if it happens, and then avoid the nearly-killing-someone-off trope for a good while unless they want us to stop taking their threats seriously. First, we had Liz; now, we could have this.
