‘The Late Show with Stephen Colbert’ live-streams kittens during Vice Presidential Debate

While the Vice-Presidential Debate may be very important in determining the future of the country, we’re a television site and therefore cover things on the basis of entertainment. With that being said, we’re not going to pretend that Tim Kaine vs. Mike Pence is an extremely entertaining match-up. For the most part, it’s just been two grown men interrupting each other.

With those frustrations in mind, why not check out something a little bit different in order to ease your stress? That’s where the video below comes into play. “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has offered a rather cute alternative to the debate in a “kitten focus group,” one that features a wide array of cute cats running around. It’s a partnership with the North Shore Animal League, so you’ve got a worthy cause involved here as well.

Based on the video thumbnail below, it certainly looks the majority of the cats are voting for Hillary Clinton and Kaine — at least for now. We do think that they’ll change their minds a few times before this is over.

This is far from the first time that “The Late Show” has set up a ridiculous live stream during a political event. Earlier this summer during the Republican National Convention, we saw the show set up a live-stream from a condiment station that lasted for several hours. These are mostly just fun / innocent things, but at least it gives you something a little less crazy to talk about. Oh, and there is also a live version of “The Late Show” airing later tonight. John Leguizamo, Cheri Oteri, Paul F. Tompkins, and Melissa Etheridge are going to be the guests tonight.
