‘Dancing with the Stars 23’ spoilers: Vanilla Ice, Ryan Lochte take on Cirque du Soleil

Lochte -We’re certainly going to admit that we are more familiar with some particular routines and dance styles on “Dancing with the Stars” than others, and the same goes for the music that accompanies them. Usually with these dance-spoiler articles we like to chronicle the individual choices and what many of the Stars / Pros can do with them, but there’s a problem for Monday night’s episode: It’s Cirque du Soleil week. We’ve never seen a single one of these shows in our life. What we know about them is that they are colorful, acrobatic, and often a little bit whimsical. Therefore, we certainly expect that to reverberate through some of the routines.

Now that we’ve brought you that, take a look at what shows are being paired up with each one of the remaining 11 Stars. Per ABC, each pair will perform alongside “acrobats, aerialists, dancers and fire stick performers” from Cirque du Soleil, which may be good for some of the weaker dancers looking for a distraction.

Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds & Allison Holker – The Beatles LOVE

Marilu Henner & Derek Hough – KÀ

Laurie Hernandez & Valentin Chmerkovskiy – Michael Jackson ONE

James Hinchcliffe & Sharna Burgess – PARAMOUR

Calvin Johnson Jr. & Lindsay Arnold – KURIOS – Cabinet of Curiosities

Terra Jolé & Sasha Farber – “O”

Jana Kramer & Gleb Savchenko – The Beatles LOVE

Ryan Lochte & Cheryl Burke – ”O”

Maureen McCormick & Artem Chigvintsev – Mystère

Amber Rose & Maksim Chmerkovskiy – Zumanity

Vanilla Ice (Robert Van Winkle) & Witney Carson – La Nouba

Out of these choices, we’re admittedly the most excited to see all of The Beatles routines just because of our love for the band — we actually wonder if the show should consider doing just an entire night themed around their songbook. Be honest: Wouldn’t you want to see someone try to make something out of “I Am the Walrus”? To us, that just screams fun!
